Best Photo Printers
So, what are the best photo printers? There are so many different specifications on the enormous variety that are
on offer now, it's a full-time job just doing the research!
The good news is that since they first came out the quality of them has increased and the cost of them have gone
down.
The Choices
We have a huge choice from inkjet photo printers with two cartridges ranging right through to eight
cartridges. These provide a host of different features and they are great as you can print without the use of your PC. You simply slot your
camera's memory card into the top and choose your photo to print.
Laser printers are coming into the equation, especially color laser printers for photo printing. Apparently though
they do not offer the same kind of quality as that of the inkjet. Dell offer a variety of laster printers and these tend to be the most
popular and you can get one below $100.
When choosing the best photo printer for you, sit down and think of the features that you will
need. There is no need to buy an expensive one with all the bells and whistles when you don't need even half of
the features. You need to learn and understand the basic features you need such as do you really need to print it from your
camera and not your PC? Do you want to be able to edit your pictures with an interface on your PC?
You also need to decide 'how' you are going to use your photo printer i.e. what sort of prints do you want to
make? Do you want to take the normal 4x6 snapshop size? If so then a compact photo printer would probably suffice. Or do
you want to make enlargements? If so, then you'll have to get a larger and more professional type of photo printer.
Try and keep things as simple as possible, don't complicate matters with all this technology and terminology. The
most simplest printers are the ones where you can just hook your camera up and print. If this is the case, the quality might not be there
as opposed to putting it on your PC and amending the shot.
If you do want to print straight from your camera, think about getting a one with an LCD screen so you can preview
the image pictues before printing. One last feature of the LCD screen is that it helps you navigate all the different
options that your printer has which can come in handy!
